Day 1

NJP Railway station /Bagdogra Airport to Darjeeling | Travel to the best

Tea Gardens in the country

Darjeeling

Upon arrival at the Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station, our representative will meet you

and transfer you to Darjeeling.

Travel through the trails decorated with the magical views of the Himalayas and the adjoining

valleys and don’t forget to capture the amazing snow-covered peaks lined with aromatic Tea

Gardens.

*      Reach Darjeeling and check-in to the hotel, and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

*  You can also explore the bustling Mall Road in Darjeeling and buy some unique souvenirs

and handicrafts.

* Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 2

Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing | Watch the morning rays fall on Mt.

Kanchenjunga

* Kick-off your day at around 4 AM for an amazing experience.

* Climb up to the top of Tiger Hill to catch the sunrise casting lights on Mt. Kanchenjunga and

adjoining peaks.

* Have your breakfast after this and then proceed for further sightseeing.

* Visit the famous Batasia Loop (Army Memorial), which offers a 360-degree panoramic view

of the Darjeeling hill station lined with Himalayan peaks.

* Embrace the spiritual side of Darjeeling by visiting the Ghoom Monastery that houses a 15-

foot high Maitreya Buddha statue (made from the clay bought from Tibet).

* Head out to explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed) and

the Tenzing rock to know the history of mountaineering in India.

* Following this visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed) to get a

glimpse of the Red Pandas (endangered specie)

* Take a stroll through the lush Tea Estates to understand the production of the best quality

tea, popular all over the world.

* Later visit the Japanese Temple and the adjoining Peace Pagoda that showcases 4 avatars

of Lord Buddha and offers scenic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga range.

* Conclude by visiting the Tibetan Refugee Centre where you can shop Tibetan handicrafts

that are produced by the locals there.

*Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 3

Darjeeling to Gangtok | Travel to the capital of Sikkim

Gangtok

*   Post breakfast in the morning, start your journey toward Gangtok.

* Don’t forget to capture the picturesque views of the mighty Teesta River on the way.

* Upon reaching Gangtok, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

*   If time permits you indulge in local sightseeing in Gangtok at an additional cost like –

*    Spend some time in nature as you visit some of the most beautiful waterfalls around Gangtok

like Ban Jhakri Falls, Lhasa Waterfalls and Bakthang Waterfalls.

Listen to the peaceful chantings and prayers of the Buddhist Monks at Dro-Dul Chorten

Monastery.

Adore the panaromic views of Gangtok as you embrace the spiritual side of Gangtok by

visiting Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok.

In the evening, you can also visit the MG Marg of Gangtok where you can collect souvenirs

and treat your taste buds with authentic Sikkimese cuisine.

Day 4

Gangtok Excursion Tour | Listen to the local story of Baba Mandir

Gangtok

After a tasty breakfast in the morning, get ready to visit some beautiful locations around

Gangtok.

Begin by visiting the famous glaciated lake – Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake which was

used to predict the future by the Buddhist monk depending upon its changing colours.

Following this, you will visit the famous shrine of the Baba Mandir where it is believed that

his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern

Himalayas.

Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass* (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of

the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border (at an additional cost).

Later, return back to Gangtok for an overnight stay

 

Note: The cost to visit Nathula Pass is dynamic according to the season (4000/- to 6000/-)

and has to be paid on the ground.

Day 5

Gangtok to Kalimpong | Explore the colonial hillstation

After having a heart breakfast in the hotel, board your transfers to Kalimpong.

Kalimpong is a lesser known hillstation that has a rich history since the ancient period till the

Bristish India, thus, housing many monastaries and colonial buildings.

Upon your arrival in hotel, check in to the hotel and then further proceed for sightseeing in

Kalimpong.

Start by visiting the Kalimpong Science center, which has an observatory, 3D movie

theatre and a number of indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Take a short photostop at the Army Golf Course and admire the surrounding views.

Take a look at the largest cacti collection in Aisa at the Pine View Nursery.

Visit the Deolo and Durpin Dara viewpoints to enjoy panaromic views of Kalimpong and

the surrounding Teesta river.

You will also visit the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery, consecrated by the Dalai

Lama which is located in the Durpin Dara hill itself.

After completing the day’s sightseeing, retuen back to your hotel in Kalimpong.

Day 6

Kalimpong to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Station | Goodbye with lots of

Memories

After having a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and then board your vehicle to

reach NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport (IXB).

Your tour concludes once you are dropped at the airport/ railway station for your onwards

journey.

It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories.

 Overnight stay at camp/homestay in Kalpa.

Day 1

Delhi to Shimla By Overnight Volvo Journey 08:00PM

Day 2

Shimla to Narkanda | The Apple Capital of India

Morning Pick up from Shimla Bus stand, drive to Narkanda, known as the fruit bowl of

Himachal Pradesh.

 Apple and cherry trees line the roadsides and the tall Deodhar fir trees spread their sweet

aroma all around. You Can Visit Hatu Temple, Hatu Peak, Tani Jubbar Lake if time

permits.

 End the day after reaching the hotel in Narkanda.

Day 3

Narkanda to Sangla/Chhitkul | The Last Inhabited Village at the Indo-Tibetan

Border

 Wake up early in the morning to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises.

 After a delicious breakfast, you will leave for one of the most beautiful views of Kinnaur

Valley.

 Travel along the Sutlej river till Karcham from where you will take a right turn towards

Chitkul following the Baspa river.

 Chitkul is the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border and here you can also

visit the famous ‘Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba’ for an amazing meal.

 Overnight stay and dinner at hotel/homestay .

Day 4

Chitkul to Tabo | Spin the 500 Year Old Prayer Wheel Made of Yak Skin at

Nako

 After early morning breakfast, you will be leaving for Nako passing through the beautiful Kinnaur

Valley.

 Take the Indo-Tibet Highway and pass through the Khab bridge that marks the confluence of Spiti and

the Satluj River.

 The road will further lead you to Nako, the last hamlet of the Kinnaur district.

 Upon reaching Nako complete the check-in formalities and head out for some sightseeing in Nako.

 Head over to see the beautiful Nako Monastery, situated by the beautiful Nako Lake.

 Spend some time soaking in the spiritual vibes as you walk through the hallways of the monastery

adorned with colorful paintings and a collection of scriptures (Kangyur) that have direct teachings of

Lord Buddha.

 Later, sit leisurely by the Nako Lake and witness a change in shades of the lake water as the sun sets

behind the mighty mountains.

 Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Nako.

Day 5

Tabo to Kaza and Local Sightseeing | Walk the Artistically Painted Rooms at

Key Monaster

 Wake up early in the morning to a beautiful view of sunrise and have a healthy breakfast.

 Hit the roads and just as you cross Sumdo you will be entering the Spiti Valley.

 Just 3 Km after Sumdo, take a detour on the right through the gate to visit the 500-Year-Old Mummy

in the Gue Village.

 You will then proceed towards Kaza where you can have your lunch before heading out to explore

 After lunch, you will ride towards the world-famous Ki Monastery nestled between the mountains in a

bowl-shaped valley of the small village Langza in Spiti valley.

 You will then go farther up the valley to the picturesque village of Kibber to treasure the expanses of

beautiful landscapes and immeasurable beauty of the snow-tipped mountains.

 From Kibber, you will drive higher up to the secluded village of Gette where you can absorb stunning

aerial views of Kaza and tie a prayer flag.

Day 6

Sightseeing around Kaza | Send Picture Postcards Stamped at the Top of the

World

 Post early morning breakfast, go out to explore the spectacular beauty of Kaza.

 Visit the tourist spots including the Key Gompa Monastery which is nestled between the mountains in

a bowl-shaped valley of the small village Langza in Spiti valley.

 Langza lies at a height of 14,500 ft. above sea level and is one of the highest villages in the world with

motorable road and nearby Komic Village is the highest village.

 Hikkim is a village in the Spiti district, close to Kaza which is one of the highest year-round inhabited

locations in India.

 You can further travel to visit Chicham Bridge, where on reaching look down the bridge and you will

find yourself gaping below, at a 1000 ft. deep gorge and try spotting a truck at the bottom that looks

ant-like.

 Return back to your hotel in Kaza for an overnight stay

Day 7

Kaza to Pooh via Dhankar | Spot the Sacred Shivling Rock Atop the Kailash

Mountain

 After a delicious breakfast, you will be retracing your path towards Kalpa in Kinnaur Valley.

 On your way back take a small detour towards the left to visit the tiny hamlet of Dhankar and stop by

the majestic fort monastery at Dhankar that is situated amongst the rocky spurs and is said to be 1000

years old

 If time permits, do take an hour’s climb above the village to visit the stunning turquoise Dhankar Tso

or Dhankar Lake to enjoy stunning views of the valley

Day 8

 Pooh to Kalpa | Spot the Sacred Shivling Rock Atop the Kailash Mountain

 You will then start your journey further leaving behind Spiti Valley and at Powari take a right towards

ReoKong Peo, which is the main town of Kinnaur district from where you will proceed to Kalpa.

 Spend the night in the beautiful Kalpa village overlooking the Kinnaur Kailash mountains.

 Overnight stay at camp/homestay in Kalpa.

Day 9

Kalpa to Delhi Via Shimla | Take back memories from the enchanting Spiti

Valley ( Overnight journey by Volvo from Shimla)

 Post breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards Shimla, known as the fruit bowl of Himachal

Pradesh.

 Travel through the slithering roads following the Satluj and passing the rich Deodhar forests to reach

Shimla.

 Upon reaching Shimla rest in the comfort of modern civilization, with a bag of delightful memories

and exciting stories.

 Visit The mall Road, Lakkar Bazaar, Gaity Theatre, the Ridge.
